    The short version: Kawaii Tower Defense does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information. Your game progress stays on your device. We show ads via Google AdMob to keep the game free, and they collect some anonymous device data for ad targeting. That's it.
  

1. Who We Are

Kawaii Tower Defense ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is an iOS game published by an independent developer. Contact: support@kawaiidefense.com

2. Information We Collect

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system:

Game progress (stars earned, maps completed, themes unlocked)
Audio and gameplay preferences (SFX/music volume, difficulty setting)
Purchase status (whether you've bought "Remove Ads")
Ad cooldown timers and session counters

This information never leaves your device. We do not have a server. We cannot see your data.

Information Collected by Third Parties

The App integrates the following third-party services:

Google AdMob (advertising) — collects device identifiers, ad interaction events, and approximate location for ad targeting. See Google's Privacy & Terms.
Apple App Store (in-app purchases) — processes your purchase of "Remove Ads". We never see your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Advertising & App Tracking Transparency

Upon first launch on iOS 14.5+, the App displays Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asking for permission to access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). Your choice affects what kind of ads you see:

Allow — Personalized ads via Google AdMob, which may pay more, helping support the developer.
Ask App Not to Track — Non-personalized ads. You'll still see ads, just not tailored to your interests.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers one optional one-time in-app purchase:

Remove Ads ($1.99 USD) — Removes interstitial advertisements. Rewarded ads (the opt-in "Watch Ad for Reward" buttons) remain available because players generally want those.

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation that the transaction succeeded. For refunds or billing issues, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and rated 4+ in the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Google AdMob's data collection is governed by their own policies. If you are a parent and concerned about ads shown to your child, we recommend enabling "Ask App Not to Track" in iOS Settings and considering the "Remove Ads" purchase.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have rights under GDPR or CCPA. Since we don't collect personal data ourselves, most of these rights apply to data held by Google AdMob, which you can manage directly:

Access & deletion — Use the iOS "Allow Apps to Request to Track" toggle, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
Opt out of personalized ads — Use Apple's ATT prompt (see Section 3).
Google AdMob — Manage your Google ad settings.

7. Data Retention

All game data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App remains installed. Uninstalling the App removes all local data.

Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to their own policies.

8. Security

Because we don't transmit your data anywhere, traditional server-side security risks don't apply. Your game progress lives only on your device. In-app purchases are processed by Apple over secure encrypted connections.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. Material changes will be highlighted at the App's next launch.
